Access to the Master's Study Programmes:
To enroll in one of the Master’s programs in Industrial Engineering (enrollment at BUW for external applicants or change of subject for internal applicants), you must first obtain admission from the examination board. You can apply for the admission process depending on your Bachelor's degree, as described below on this page. If you have questions regarding subsequent enrollment, please contact the (International) Student Office of BUW.
The Examination Board of the Industrial Engineering programs checks whether the admission requirements for a Master’s program are met and whether sufficient prior knowledge in the fields of electrical engineering and economics has been demonstrated. You can find the specific requirements in the respective examination regulations (§1, section 2) via the following links. There, you can verify in advance whether you meet all admission requirements or if any additional requirements must be fulfilled:

Before applying, please check which of the three applicant categories listed below you belong to:
1. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in "Industrial Engineering – Electrical Engineering" from the University of Wuppertal should contact the Examination Office of Faculty 6 (Ms. Imbusch) directly to enroll in one of the Master’s programs in Industrial Engineering. The further information on this homepage is not relevant for you. Applications are possible at any time.
2. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from a non-German university or college must submit their application via Uni-Assist.
3. Applicants with a Bachelor's degree from a German university or college (e.g., a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from BUW or Industrial Engineering – Electrical Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf) should send their application directly to the examination board in the following form:
Please complete the following application form fully and carefully. If you wish to apply for multiple degree programs, check all desired programs on the form. You only need to submit one application form regardless of how many programs you are applying for. In addition to the application form, please submit your Bachelor's degree certificate or a current transcript of records on time. For all questions, please contact Mr. Alexander Popp.
Applications are accepted for each winter semester from June 1 to August 31, and for each summer semester from December 1 to February 28. Applications received outside these deadlines will not be considered and will be deleted.
