Faculty 6 at the University of Wuppertal offers a wide range of degree programmes and research specialisations in the fields of electrical engineering, information technology and media technology. It emphasises practical training and is closely networked with industry, enabling students to gain practical experience at an early stage.
The curriculum covers traditional and modern areas such as energy technology, automation technology, communication systems, media technology and artificial intelligence. In addition to academic education, the faculty is active in various fields of research, for example in power electronics, communication and high-frequency technology and media technology. The close cooperation with research institutes and companies provides a practice-orientated environment that is conducive to both the technical and professional development of students.
